This Time Last Year
I think it’s funny to go back and see just how much you have learned in one years time. Let’s take a quick glimpse and see where I was this time last year. The following is a post I made Janurary 2nd, 2007 on an old blog:

As young online entrepeneur I’m always looking for ways to expand my online business and earn a few extra bucks here and there. Here are the steps I took today to start making some extra cash for the New Year. One of my FEW New Years’ resolutions is to not be SO tight with my money and to buy a few things that I might enjoy. I suppose I’ll do a post on that next. Anyhow, onward with the steps.
Step #1.) I decided that since Treasure Trooper was the FIRST program that I really started making money online with that I wanted to remain loyal to that program in order to finance some more profitable opportunities and also to help other newbies get their foot in the door of online marketing.
I did a minor update to my Get Paid To/Treasure Trooper Tutorial site to reflect my latest earnings over there. I also made a new update to The Treasure Trooper Blog and sent a copy of that update to my referral list and had a good response with my referrals earning about $70.00 collectively within the first few days of that e-mail going out. (That’s $14.00 referral comission for me for doing what? Sending out ONE e-mail.
That’s the power of Treasure Trooper and because it’s FREE to try people are always willing. It’s not suitable for everyone, but I have had referrals have over $100 dollar months before, and I’ve even learned from some of them. Step #2.) I found out from a friend about this new online community that already has over 50,000 members. I’ve spent a few minutes over there everyday for the last 15 days and I’ve already earned $8.22. If you actually wanted to invest a lot of time in it you could probably easily approach $30.00 bucks or so a month and if you get a bunch of referrals I have no doubt that you could earn some good cash directly to your paypal account.

Step #3.) I updated my main marketing blog over at The College Marketer with a post about online surveys and how to earn money from them, and then I actually got that post published over at GoArticles.com. You can check the article out over there, by clicking HERE . Let me know what you think! I’m really looking into getting going on this Bum Marketing Method developed by Travis Sago. It utilizes posting lots of keyword rich articles in particular niches to article directories with links back to your blogs which have affiliate products (which I’m trying to sell for some commission). It’s FREE to do, hence the name, and there’s no doubt it’s hard work, but if there’s no intial investment then it’s ALL profit and that’s definitely my kind of work.
Those are just the steps I took TODAY to start earning some extra money online and to increse my online business. A lot of people think I’m crazy working so hard, but the fact of the matter is that if it gives me some extra cash to buy some things that I’m passionate about, or something that will make me happy then why not? Not only that, a lot of these things that I’m “planting my seed” in are things CAN earn me residual income. All those articles I’m talking about writing? They’re in that directory for as long as it exists and when people read those articles and buy those affiliate products I’m earning money for work I did A LONG TIME AGO… and I can keep earning that money over and over without doing any more work on THAT particular article?
